I bought a Nikon DSLR last year, my first serious photography equipment. It was a D5100 with an 18-55mm kit lens. I once heard that, one has to respect one's equipment. So even if it was an old model I am pretty much satisfied with it, because I would rather look at the things that it can do rather than complain about the things that it can't do. Besides, I have very limited skills as of this time, I think the equipment should be the one complaining that I am not letting it do the things that it can do. I am thinking of upgrading, but I would rather work on my skills first. Photography has opened a whole new world for me. I am not just using it to capture images of the places that I have visited, it is also recording memories and capturing life in digital images.
